NASA Sponsors Team 2638!!!

We are thrilled to announce that Rebel Robotics has been selected as a recipient of a NASA FIRST Robotics Competition Grant Award! NASA’s sponsorship of Team 2638 is in recognition of our team’s successes on and off the field, including our emphasis on safety, women in STEM and community outreach.

9/11 Dedication

Great Neck South High School recently dedicated a memorial to coincide with the 20th anniversary of 9/11. This project was a joint effort by the South High Rebel Robotics team and Support Our Troops club, which were the recipients of a piece of steel and a piece of concrete from the World Trade Center. Both of these pieces were joined together to form a single monument to remember the events of 9/11 and honor those who were lost. Building administrators joined students and faculty from Facing History classes, the Rebel Robotics team, and Support Our Troops club for a dedication ceremony in the school's memorial garden, which is a space for quiet reflection for the school community.
